There are moments in Scripture where the future breaks into the present, giving us a glimpse of God’s ultimate plan. In Deuteronomy 18, we see God promising a bridge between Himself and humanity. In Genesis 22, we see the location where that bridge would eventually be built.
🏛️ The Great Mediator: Deuteronomy 18:17–18
The Context: The Israelites were terrified of God’s direct voice at Mount Sinai—it was too powerful, too holy. They asked for a spokesperson. God’s response? "They have done well." He promised a Prophet who wouldn't just speak about God, but would have God’s very words in His mouth.
Like Moses: Moses was a deliverer, a lawgiver, and an intercessor. But this coming Prophet would be the "Greater Moses."
Divine Authority: He doesn't say "Thus says the Lord"; He speaks as the Lord.
🏔️ The Provider: Genesis 22:14
The Context: Abraham is on Mount Moriah. He has just been stopped from sacrificing his son, Isaac, because God provided a ram in the thicket. Abraham names the place Jehovah-Jireh—"The Lord Will Provide."
The Prophetic Location: Abraham didn't just mean "God provided a ram today." He said, "On the mountain of the Lord it shall be seen (or provided)." * The Connection: Fast forward 2,000 years to that same range of mountains: Jesus, the Prophet like Moses, became the Lamb provided by God to take away the sins of the world. 🕊️
✝️ How It All Fits Together
God promised a Voice (the Prophet) and a Sacrifice (the Provision). In Jesus, we receive both. He is the Word of God made flesh, provided on the mountain of the Lord to bring us back to the Father.
Key Scriptures to Study:John 1:45 – "We have found him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth."Acts 3:22–26 – Peter explicitly names Jesus as the fulfillment of the Deuteronomy 18 prophecy.John 8:56 – Jesus said, "Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad."
💡 The Takeaway
If you feel like God is distant or that your needs are too great, remember:
He hears your cry for a mediator. 🗣️
He has already provided the solution on the Mountain. ⛰️
He is faithful to His word from Genesis to Revelation. ⚡️
The Lord Will Provide exactly what you need, exactly when you need it. 🙌

🙏 St. Mykul’s Prayer: A Plea for Divine Alignment
📜 The Prayer
“I pray for Jehovah to speak through me all the time,
and I pray for Jehovah to remove all my thoughts
and implant your thoughts Father all the time,
as I do not even want my thoughts.”
In Jesus name I pray amen.
