Life is full of small victories—promotions, accolades, and moments of power. But Jesus reminds us to keep our eyes on a much bigger prize. It’s not about the authority we wield today, but where we stand in eternity.
🕊️ True Joy vs. Temporary Power
In Luke 10:20, the disciples were on a high because they had spiritual authority. Jesus gently redirected them:
"Do not rejoice that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."
It’s a reality check! Influence and "doing" are great, but belonging to God is the ultimate reason to celebrate.
📚 The Book of Life
This isn't just a metaphor. Paul mentions it specifically in Philippians 4:3, honoring those who labored for the Gospel:
"...along with Clement and my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life."
Being a "fellow worker" for the Kingdom means your efforts aren't just seen by people; they are recorded in the archives of heaven. 🏛️✨
🎺 The Great Awakening
Why does this matter? Because a day is coming when every grave will open. Jesus gives us a vivid preview in John 5:28-29:
"Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned."
✨ The Takeaway
We shouldn't be distracted by the "spectacular" things of this world. Instead, let’s focus on:
Faithfulness: Laboring for the Gospel like Clement and the early church.
Character: Doing "what is good" as a fruit of our faith.
Assurance: Living with the peace that our names are securely written in the Book of Life. 🛡️
Reflection: If you were to look at the "Book of Life" today, would you see your name? Let's live today with eternity in mind! 🙌

🙏 St. Mykul’s Prayer: A Plea for Divine Alignment
📜 The Prayer
“I pray for Jehovah to speak through me all the time,
and I pray for Jehovah to remove all my thoughts
and implant your thoughts Father all the time,
as I do not even want my thoughts.”
In Jesus name I pray amen.
