- ✝️ Can True Believers Be Possessed by Demons? 🤔
✝️ Can True Believers Be Possessed by Demons? 🤔 The question of whether saints , or true believers , can be possessed by demons is a deeply intriguing and often debated topic. Let’s explore this subject with the guidance of Scripture. 📖 Biblical Instances and Interpretations Peter’s Rebuke by Jesus In Matthew 16:23 , Jesus rebukes Peter, saying, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” (Peter was trying to please man’s way of thinking, and not God’s.) This statement, however, does not imply that Peter was possessed by Satan . Instead, it indicates that Peter’s words and actions were influenced by Satanic thinking , opposing God’s plan . (Anytime you try to please man and man’s way of thinking, you are not pleasing God. God’s way of thinking is NOT man’s way of thinking.) Judas Iscariot Judas , one of Jesus’ twelve disciples , is a more direct example. In Luke 22:3 , it is written, “Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve.” This verse suggests a form of possession or strong influence , leading Judas to betray Jesus . Since Judas was a disciple , he was considered a saint by some interpretations. This instance shows that even those close to Jesus can be susceptible to demonic influence . Spiritual Warfare Ephesians 6:11-12 reminds believers to “put on the full armor of God , so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Protection in Christ 1 John 4:4 offers reassurance: “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” ✨ Conclusion While instances like Judas’ betrayal and Peter’s rebuke show that even close followers of Jesus can be influenced by Satan . They can, however, face significant spiritual attacks and influences , which is why vigilance and reliance on God’s power are crucial . 📜 Scriptures for Further Study Matthew 16:23 : Jesus rebukes Peter, calling Peter Satan. Luke 22:3 : Satan enters Judas. 1 Corinthians 6:19 : Believers as temples of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 6:11-12 : Put on the full armor of God, and it is a spiritual warfare. 1 John 4:4 : Assurance of God’s greater power within believers. - 💸 The Illusion of Ownership: Are Property Taxes Modern-Day Slavery?
💸 The Illusion of Ownership: Are Property Taxes Modern-Day Slavery? Slavery Definition Slavery : The complete ownership and control of one person by another, forcing them to act against their will and stripping away their freedom and rights . The Property Tax Question When discussing freedom and rights , a glaring question arises: why can’t you truly own your property ? You paid for it, not the government. Yet, if you can’t afford to pay property taxes , the government will take it away from you, lining their pockets in the process. Were we robbed years ago when property taxes were introduced? Government Claim on Property Government Claim: You don’t have the right to own anything except your vehicle and personal belongings inside your house. You don’t actually own the house itself, as the government can claim your property if you fail to pay your property taxes . This essentially makes you homeless , forcing you off the property you paid for. People claim they want to help the homeless, but how can they when they continue to take away homes from those who can’t afford property taxes ? Financial Struggle and Seizure If you can’t afford to pay your property taxes , it means you’re already financially struggling . You’ve worked all your life to pay for that house, and yet, the government believes they have the right to take the house from you. Did you ever vote to give the government the right to take your property? Did you vote for the government to steal your property if you’re unable to pay for it? If you can’t afford to pay your property taxes , it means you don’t have any money , and you’re at risk of becoming homeless because they’re taking your house from you for not paying the property taxes . Being Forced to Do Something This can happen in many ways. For example, you feel forced to pay taxes or follow certain rules to avoid jail. Or forced off your land because you didn't pay the taxes. Did you vote for this? Did you vote for them to send you to jail because you couldn’t pay your taxes? If you don’t pay your property taxes , they will take your property from you . The Only Freedom The only thing free in this world is air . If you can’t afford to pay taxes , it means you are broke , you don’t have any money, and you’re at risk of becoming homeless . Do you think the government really cares? Conclusion This post aims to highlight the parallels between historical slavery and modern-day financial obligations—“the same thing.” Proverbs 22:7 English Standard Version “The borrower is the slave of the lender .” that can strip away one’s sense of ownership and security . It questions the fairness of property taxes and the broader implications on personal freedom and rights . What are your thoughts on this issue? How do you think we can address these concerns in a way that aligns with our values of freedom and justice ? 🕊️ Related Scriptures (KJV) Here are some Bible verses often referenced in discussions about ownership , freedom , and debt : Psalm 24:1 : "The earth is the Lord's , and the fulness thereof; the world , and they that dwell therein." And he ( Jehovah ) said unto the woman (Eve) , Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman (Eve) said unto the serpent (SATAN-BEAST) , We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden.: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God (Jehovah) hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die . And the serpent (SATAN BEAST) said unto the woman , Ye shall not surely die : For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened , and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil . And when the woman (Eve) saw that the tree was good for food , and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat , and gave also unto her husband (Adam) with her (Eve) ; and he (Adam) did eat . And the eyes of them both were opened , and they knew that they were naked ; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the Lord God (Jehovah) walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife (Eve) hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God (Jehovah) amongst the trees of the garden. And the Lord God (Jehovah) called unto Adam , and said unto him (Adam), "Where art thou? And he (Adam) said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I (Adam) was afraid because I was naked, and I hid myself." And he ( Jehovah God ) said, Who told thee (Adam) that thou wast naked? And the Lord God (Jehovah) said unto the woman , What is this that thou hast done? And the woman (Eve) said, The serpent (SATAN-BEAST) beguiled me (tempted or tricked me), and I did eat . And the Lord God (Jehovah) said unto the serpent (SATAN-BEAST) , Because thou hast done this , thou (SATAN) art cursed above all cattle ( Satan is the Beast as stated in Revelations ), and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go , and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life." - 🎁 The Principle of Giving and Receiving: Luke 6:38
🎁 The Principle of Giving and Receiving: Luke 6:38 Key Concept Give , and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down , and shaken together , and running over . 📜 Related Scripture and Application The verse Luke 6:38 encapsulates a profound principle of reciprocity and divine abundance . "Give, and it shall be given unto you..." This establishes the action (giving) and the result (receiving). It's a call to generosity and selfless giving , not just of material possessions, but also of love , forgiveness , and time . "...good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over..." This vividly describes the quantity and quality of the return. The imagery is drawn from measuring grain: Pressed down means the grain is compacted to fit more. Shaken together ensures all air pockets are removed, fitting even more. Running over signifies an overflowing return that is more than what was initially given. The return on giving is coming from God or through others, reflecting His unlimited generosity . Contextual Verse The preceding verses provide the context for this teaching on generosity and judgment: Luke 6:37: " Judge not , unless you want to be judged; condemn not , and ye shall not be condemned : forgive , and ye shall be forgiven ." This emphasizes that the standard of mercy and forgiveness we apply to others is the same standard that will be applied to us. Conclusion The phrase "Give, and it shall be given unto you... shaken together, and running over" is a promise of abundant return corresponding to the measure of our generosity .
