  • Serving with Humility: Jehovah Saints Church in Pakistan's Lesson on Service

Serving with Humility: Lessons from the Foot Washing of Jesus Pastor Francis Bashir of Jehovah Saints Church in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, shared a profound message accompanied by a poignant photo that captures the essence of servitude and humility embodied by Jesus Christ. Through the scriptures of John 13:12-14, we are invited to reflect on the significance of Jesus' act of foot washing and the lessons it imparts for our lives today. The Context of Foot Washing John 13:12 recounts a moment during the Last Supper when Jesus performed an act of profound humility: "So when he had washed their feet and put on his clothes, he returned to his place and asked, 'Do you understand what I have done for you?'" This act was not merely a gesture of cleanliness but a symbolic act of servitude. Foot washing was a task typically reserved for servants, yet Jesus, the Lord and teacher, humbled Himself to serve His disciples in this intimate manner. The Lesson of Servitude In John 13:14, Jesus elaborates on the significance of His actions: "Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet." Pastor Francis Bashir emphasized that this directive from Jesus is a call to embody servitude and humility in our relationships with others. It challenges us to put aside pride and status, recognizing that true greatness lies in serving others selflessly. The Call to Humility The act of foot washing serves as a powerful reminder of the humility that Jesus exemplified throughout His ministry. Philippians 2:5-7 encourages believers to adopt the same mindset as Christ: "In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant." Pastor Bashir highlighted how this humility is crucial for fostering genuine community and love among believers. Embracing Servitude in Daily Life The message shared by Pastor Bashir urges us to integrate the spirit of servitude into our daily lives. This involves actively seeking opportunities to serve those around us, whether through acts of kindness, support, or simply being present for others in times of need. Galatians 5:13 reminds us, "Serve one another humbly in love." By embracing servitude, we reflect the love of Christ and become instruments of His grace in the world. The Transformative Power of Service Service, as demonstrated by Jesus, has the power to transform lives and communities. Pastor Bashir encouraged the congregation to view service not as a burden but as a privilege and opportunity to make a positive impact. Acts of service can break down barriers, build bridges of understanding, and foster unity among diverse groups. In Matthew 25:40, Jesus states, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." This scripture underscores the eternal significance of serving others. In conclusion, the message shared by Pastor Francis Bashir from John 13:12-14 invites us to embrace the humility and servitude exemplified by Jesus through the act of foot washing. As we reflect on this powerful lesson, let us be inspired to live lives marked by selfless service, embodying the love and humility of Christ in all our interactions. May we strive to wash the feet of one another metaphorically, fostering a community grounded in love, compassion, and unity. Conclusion: Join Us in Bringing Hope to the Homeless At Jehovah Saints, we are committed to being the hands and feet of Christ by providing safe shelters, warm meals, and hope to those in need. • A Spirit of Grace and Mourning: Jehovah Saints Church Tanzania Insights

In the heart of Tanzania, Archbishop Samuel Macokebe of Jehovah Saints Church delivered a poignant message based on the gospel readings from Zechariah 12:10-11. This passage, rich with prophetic imagery and profound spiritual insights, invites us to reflect on the themes of grace, supplication, and mourning. As we explore these verses, we uncover their relevance to our faith journey and the transformative power of God's spirit. The Outpouring of Grace and Supplication Zechariah 12:10 begins with a divine promise: "And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications." Archbishop Macokebe emphasized the significance of this outpouring as a gift from God, intended to soften hearts and draw people closer to Him. The spirit of grace represents God's unmerited favor, a reminder of His love and mercy toward humanity. The spirit of supplication, on the other hand, encourages a posture of prayer and earnest seeking of God's presence. Looking Upon the Pierced One The verse continues with a prophetic vision: "They shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him." This imagery foreshadows the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, who was pierced for our transgressions (Isaiah 53:5). Archbishop Macokebe highlighted how this prophecy calls us to a deep recognition of Christ's sacrifice and the impact of our sins. The act of looking upon the pierced one invites believers to reflect on the cost of redemption and the depth of God's love. Mourning and Repentance Zechariah 12:11 describes a profound mourning in Jerusalem, likened to the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddo. This reference recalls the communal lamentation over the death of King Josiah, a time of national grief and repentance (2 Chronicles 35:22-25). Archbishop Macokebe encouraged the congregation to embrace a similar spirit of mourning and repentance in response to God's revelation. Mourning for the pierced one signifies a heartfelt acknowledgment of sin and a desire for spiritual renewal. The Transformative Power of Mourning Mourning, as described in these verses, is not merely an expression of sorrow but a catalyst for transformation. Matthew 5:4 states, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Archbishop Macokebe explained that genuine mourning leads to healing and restoration, as God comforts and renews those who turn to Him. By embracing this process, believers can experience a deeper relationship with God and a renewed sense of purpose. Embracing Grace and Supplication in Our Lives In light of Zechariah's prophecy, Archbishop Macokebe urged the congregation to actively seek the spirit of grace and supplication in their daily lives. This involves cultivating a heart of gratitude for God's grace and engaging in consistent prayer and supplication. Philippians 4:6 encourages believers to present their requests to God with thanksgiving, trusting in His peace to guard their hearts and minds. In conclusion, the gospel message shared by Archbishop Samuel Macokebe from Zechariah 12:10-11 invites us to reflect on the profound themes of grace, mourning, and transformation. As we look upon the pierced one, let us embrace a spirit of repentance and seek the outpouring of God's grace in our lives. May we be moved to deeper prayer and supplication, trusting in the comfort and renewal that God promises to those who mourn. Through this journey, may we draw closer to the heart of God, experiencing His love and mercy anew. • The Transfiguration: Glory & Faith at Jehovah Saints Church Pakistan

In the vibrant city of Gojra, within the district of Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan, Pastor Nadeem of Jehovah Saints Church recently shared a profound sermon inspired by Matthew 17:1-8. This passage, known as the Transfiguration of Jesus, offers a powerful glimpse into the divine nature of Christ and the importance of faith. Through this sermon, Pastor Nadeem invites us to explore the depths of this miraculous event and its implications for our spiritual journey. The Transfiguration: A Divine Encounter The account of the Transfiguration is a pivotal moment in the New Testament. In Matthew 17:1-8, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up a high mountain. There, He is transfigured before them, His face shining like the sun and His clothes becoming as white as light. This extraordinary event reveals the divine glory of Jesus, affirming His identity as the Son of God. The appearance of Moses and Elijah alongside Him symbolizes the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets in Christ. The Significance of the Transfiguration Pastor Nadeem emphasized the significance of the Transfiguration as a revelation of Jesus' divine nature. It serves as a confirmation of His messianic mission and a foretaste of the glory that awaits believers. The voice from the cloud, declaring, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!" (Matthew 17:5), underscores the authority of Jesus and the importance of heeding His teachings. A Call to Faith and Obedience The Transfiguration not only reveals the glory of Christ but also calls us to a deeper faith and obedience. Pastor Nadeem urged the congregation to reflect on their own spiritual journeys, asking whether they are truly listening to and following Jesus. In a world filled with distractions and challenges, it is crucial to remain steadfast in our faith, trusting in the promises of God and seeking His guidance in all aspects of life. Experiencing Transformation Just as the disciples witnessed the transformation of Jesus, we too are called to experience transformation in our lives. Romans 12:2 encourages us not to conform to the patterns of this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Pastor Nadeem highlighted the importance of spiritual disciplines such as prayer, meditation, and studying Scripture as means to cultivate a closer relationship with God and undergo personal transformation. The Role of Community in Spiritual Growth Pastor Nadeem also emphasized the role of community in fostering spiritual growth. The presence of Peter, James, and John at the Transfiguration illustrates the importance of sharing profound spiritual experiences within a supportive community. Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages us to spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together but encouraging one another. By participating in the life of the church, believers can support each other in their faith journeys. In conclusion, the Transfiguration of Jesus offers a powerful reminder of His divine glory and the call to faith and transformation. Pastor Nadeem's sermon challenges us to listen to Jesus, embrace spiritual renewal, and engage with our communities in meaningful ways. As we reflect on this miraculous event, may we be inspired to deepen our faith, live in obedience to Christ, and share His love and truth with the world. Conclusion: Join Us in Bringing Hope to the Homeless At Jehovah Saints, we are committed to being the hands and feet of Christ by providing safe shelters, warm meals, and hope to those in need. • Archbishop Amin Gill of the Jehovah Saints Church in Pakistan

Archbishop Amin Gill of the Jehovah Saints Church in Pakistan shared the following message: On Tuesday, April 15th, at 3:00 PM, the Jehovah Saints Church in Pakistan organized an Easter Prayer and Food Festival at Chak No. 307 JB. This event saw a large turnout from the congregation, who gathered to celebrate and reflect on the significance of Easter. During the festival, the first 10 verses of John Chapter 13 were recited, focusing on the powerful example of humility demonstrated by Jesus Christ when He washed the feet of His disciples. This act of service and humility was emphasized to inspire the congregation to follow Christ's example in their own lives. The congregation was also reminded of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His resurrection on the third day. This central message of Easter brought great blessings and spiritual enrichment to all who attended. Amen. Scriptural Reflection: John 13:1-10 : "It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, 'Lord, are you going to wash my feet?' Jesus replied, 'You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.' 'No,' said Peter, 'you shall never wash my feet.' Jesus answered, 'Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.' 'Then, Lord,' Simon Peter replied, 'not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!'" This passage highlights the humility and servant leadership of Jesus, encouraging believers to serve others selflessly. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 : "For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." This scripture underscores the foundational truth of the Christian faith—the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which was celebrated during the festival. The Easter Prayer and Food Festival was a time of reflection, celebration, and spiritual growth for the congregation, reminding them of the profound love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The focus of the lesson was on the Book of James, Chapter 1, verses 12-13. The scripture reads: James 1:12-13 : "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. Archbishop Amin Gill of the Jehovah Saints Church in Pakistan shared the following information: On Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025, services were held at various locations, culminating with the final service in the colony of Block No. 297 GB. At each location, processions were organized with participants carrying palm branches, symbolizing the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. During the services, the congregation listened to a reading from the Gospel of Mark, Chapter 11, verses 1 to 10, which details the story of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. This passage highlights the fulfillment of prophecy and the acknowledgment of Jesus as the Messiah. The sermon delivered focused on the significance of this event, emphasizing the themes of humility, peace, and the acknowledgment of Jesus as the King. The scripture from Mark 11:1-10 reads: "As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, saying to them, 'Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, "Why are you doing this?" say, "The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly."' They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, some people standing there asked, 'What are you doing, untying that colt?' They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, 'Hosanna!' 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!' 'Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!' 'Hosanna in the highest heaven!'" This celebration brought spiritual blessing to all who participated, reinforcing the joy and hope that Palm Sunday represents in the Christian faith. • Message from Archbishop Samuel Macokebe of Jehovah Saints Tanzania

Archbishop Samuel Macokebe shared several photos and his sermon with me. His sermon was based on Matthew 8:20, which states: "And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head." This scripture highlights the humility and sacrifice of Jesus, who, despite being the Son of God, lived without earthly possessions or a permanent home. It serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of selflessness and dedication to God's mission. Call to Action for Leaders I encourage our leaders to open their doors and hearts to those in need. When we approach them, they should be ready to support us in fulfilling the gospel and God's vision. Just as Jesus lived without a place to rest, we must be willing to extend our resources and hospitality to advance His teachings and reach out to those in need. Supporting Scriptures Matthew 25:35-40 : This passage emphasizes the importance of serving others, as serving those in need is akin to serving Jesus Himself. Hebrews 13:2 : "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." Let us work together to embody these teachings and make a positive impact in our communities. • Worship Service with Pastor Amin Gill at Jehovah Saints Church

Pastor Amin Gill of Jehovah Saints Church in Pakistan shared a meaningful worship experience that took place on Friday, March 11th. The service focused on the teachings from the Gospel of Matthew, emphasizing the importance of refraining from criticism. Worship Service Details Location and Date The worship service was held in Chak No. 297 JB, Pakistan, on Friday, March 11th. Scriptural Focus Pastor Amin Gill recited from the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 7, Verses 1-5. This passage underscores the importance of not judging others. Scriptural Insights Matthew 7:1-5 Verse 1 : "Do not judge, or you too will be judged." Verse 2 : "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Verses 3-5 : These verses remind us to first look at our own faults before criticizing others: "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye." Reflections and Application The Call to Humility The message encourages believers to exercise humility and self-reflection before passing judgment on others. James 4:11-12 : "Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?" Building a Community of Grace By focusing on understanding and forgiveness, we can build a more compassionate and supportive community. Ephesians 4:32 : "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Pastor Amin Gill's message from the Gospel of Matthew serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of avoiding criticism and judgment. By embracing these teachings, we can foster a spirit of humility and grace within our communities.
