- Donation Boxes for Sunday School: A Meaningful Project
Donation Boxes for Sunday School: A Meaningful Project Pastor Aftab Sundhu of the Jehovah Saints Church in Pakistan shared a photo of the donation boxes they created. These boxes look very professional, and they would likely be quite costly to produce in the USA. Purpose of the Donation Boxes Pastor Aftab explained: "These Sunday school children will put some donations from their pockets into them. These funds will be used for Sunday school activities and for reaching places where the word of God has not yet been delivered. Through this, the Sunday school children will play a role in spreading the Gospel." This is an inspiring initiative that not only teaches children the value of giving but also equips them to contribute to the ministry of spreading God’s word. Craftsmanship and Effort The boxes were handmade using carpenter's tools, demonstrating the dedication and resourcefulness of the church community. This project serves as a beautiful example of using one’s skills and resources for God’s glory. Scriptural Encouragement This project aligns beautifully with biblical teachings: Teaching Children to Give: "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." – Proverbs 22:6 By involving children in giving, they are being taught generosity and stewardship from a young age. Supporting the Spread of the Gospel: "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?" – Romans 10:14 These donation boxes will support the mission of delivering God’s word to unreached areas. Joyful Giving: "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." – 2 Corinthians 9:7 The children’s cheerful contributions reflect the spirit of giving that pleases God. Thoughts on the Project This project is a wonderful way to engage Sunday school children in meaningful ministry work. It teaches them the importance of giving, fosters a sense of responsibility, and allows them to actively participate in spreading the Gospel. Additionally, the craftsmanship of the boxes is commendable, showcasing the community's dedication and creativity. - Progress on the New Church Building in Pakistan
Blessings in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ! I would like to share an update about the work being done by Pastor Nadeem and the congregation of Jehovah Saints Church in Gojra City, District Toba Tek Singh, Punjab, Pakistan. 1. Progress on the New Church Building Pastor Nadeem has sent me pictures of the congregation working on the construction of the new Jehovah Saints Church in Pakistan. This project has been ongoing for almost seven years, but it is still incomplete. Pastor Nadeem shared his heartfelt prayer: "This building has been under construction for almost seven years, but it is still not complete. Please pray that God completes this building so that it may become a house of God where His people can worship Him." 2. Encouragement and Scripture Let us join together in prayer for the completion of this church, trusting in God's provision and timing. As the Bible reminds us: Scripture Reference: “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.” – Psalm 127:1 We also hold on to the promise of God's faithfulness: “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19 3. Call to Action Let us support Pastor Nadeem and his congregation in any way we can—through prayer, encouragement, and resources. Together, we can help establish this church as a place of worship and refuge for God's people in Pakistan. May God bless this work and provide all that is needed to complete His house. - Jehovah Saints Church, Liberia, West Africa, Archbishop Nathaniel Gbah
Sermon by Archbishop Nathaniel Gbah Jehovah Saints Church, Liberia, West Africa Theme: What Are the Steps to True Repentance According to the Bible? Text: 2 Corinthians 7:10; Romans 3:23; Psalm 51:10 Introduction True repentance is a fundamental aspect of the Christian faith. It involves a heartfelt turning away from sin and a turning toward God. The Bible provides a clear roadmap for genuine repentance, which leads to salvation and restoration. Below are the steps to true repentance, supported by scripture and practical explanation. 1. Acknowledgment of Sin Scripture: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23 NKJV) Explanation: The journey to repentance begins with recognizing and acknowledging your sin. This requires an honest admission that you have sinned against God and are in need of His forgiveness. Without this step, true repentance cannot take place. 2. Godly Sorrow for Sin Scripture: "For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death." (2 Corinthians 7:10 NKJV) Explanation: True repentance is accompanied by godly sorrow, which is a deep remorse for having sinned against God. Unlike worldly sorrow, which leads to despair, godly sorrow motivates a desire for change and a commitment to turn away from sin. 3. Confession of Sin Scripture: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 NKJV) Explanation: Confession involves openly admitting your sins to God and, if necessary, to others. This act demonstrates humility and a willingness to be honest before God. It is a vital step in receiving His forgiveness and cleansing. 4. Turning Away from Sin Scripture: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon." (Isaiah 55:7 NKJV) Explanation: Repentance requires a deliberate decision to abandon sinful behaviors and thoughts. This involves a change of direction, seeking to live according to God’s will. While salvation does not make us perfect, it changes our attitude toward sin and sets us on a path of transformation. 5. Seeking God’s Forgiveness Scripture: Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10 NKJV) Explanation: After confessing and turning away from sin, seek God’s forgiveness with a sincere heart. Ask Him to cleanse you, renew your spirit, and strengthen your relationship with Him. God is always ready to forgive those who truly repent. 6. Experiencing God’s Forgiveness and Joy Scripture: Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered." (Psalm 32:1 NKJV) Explanation: True repentance brings the joy and blessing of God’s forgiveness. This restoration leads to peace, hope, and a renewed sense of purpose in your relationship with God. 7. Commitment to Change Scripture: Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance." (Luke 3:8 NKJV) Explanation: Repentance is not complete without a commitment to change. This involves living out the transformation that repentance brings, demonstrating through your actions that you have truly turned away from sin. 8. Restitution and Reconciliation Scripture: Therefore , if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift." (Matthew 5:23-24 NKJV) Explanation: True repentance may involve making restitution or seeking reconciliation with those you have wronged. This step reflects the sincerity of your repentance and your desire to restore broken relationships. 9. Continual Self-Examination Scripture: Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves." (2 Corinthians 13:5 NKJV) Explanation: Repentance requires continual self-examination and vigilance against sin. Regularly assess your heart and actions to ensure they align with God’s will. Be quick to confess and seek forgiveness when you fall short. 10. Relying on God’s Grace and Strength Scripture: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13 NKJV) Explanation: Living a life of repentance and overcoming sin requires reliance on God’s grace and strength. Trust in Christ to empower you to live a transformed life, free from the bondage of sin. Closing Remarks True repentance is not a one-time event but a continual process. It transforms your heart and aligns your life with God’s will. Let us strive to live lives of repentance, relying on God’s grace and seeking His forgiveness daily. Teaching Session Report by Pastor Daniel Tengeletu Jehovah Saints Church, Mzuzu, Malawi During a recent session, I had the privilege of teaching on the topic of academic excellence at a secondary school. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to empower young minds with both spiritual and practical tools for success. Key Points from the Teaching: The Importance of Academic Excellence : Academic excellence is not only about achieving high grades but also about cultivating discipline, perseverance, and a commitment to using one's talents for the glory of God. Proverbs 22:29 : "Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men." Biblical Encouragement for Students : God calls us to be diligent in all we do, including our studies. Colossians 3:23-24 : "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." Relying on God's Wisdom : True wisdom comes from God, and students are encouraged to seek His guidance in their academic pursuits. James 1:5 : "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." Faith and Hard Work Go Hand in Hand : While faith is essential, it must be coupled with effort and dedication. 2 Timothy 2:15 : "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth." Application: The students were encouraged to: Set goals and work diligently towards them. Trust in God for strength and wisdom. Use their education as a platform to serve others and glorify God. This session was a wonderful opportunity to inspire the next generation to pursue excellence in all aspects of their lives, grounded in faith and guided by biblical principles. - Jehovah Saints Church, Lahore, Pakistan Pastor Gill
Pastor Amin Gill’s Reports: Jehovah Saints Church, Lahore, Pakistan Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am pleased to share with you the blessings from our recent Sunday service. This past Sunday, I conducted the service at Chak No. 297 JB, which is part of the area under my care. During the service, I recited John 2:1-10 from the Gospel of Saint John the Apostle, focusing on the first miracle of Christ—turning water into wine at the wedding in Cana. Through this passage, I taught my congregation about the significance of this miracle: It demonstrates the power and divinity of Christ. It reveals His compassion and willingness to meet human needs. It symbolizes the abundant blessings of God for those who believe. As it is written: "This, the first of His signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him." (John 2:11) "For nothing will be impossible with God." (Luke 1:37) This miracle reminds us that Christ is not only our Savior but also the one who provides for us abundantly in both spiritual and physical ways. I encourage all of us to reflect on this miracle and trust in the Lord’s ability to perform wonders in our lives today, just as He did then. May the grace of our Lord continue to guide and bless us all. - Pastor Nadeem Jehovah Saints Chruch Pakistan
Pastor Nadeem and His Ministry Pastor Nadeem serves as the leader of Jehovah Saints Church in Gojra City, District Toba Tek Singh, Punjab, Pakistan. His commitment to spreading the Word of God has impacted many lives in his congregation and beyond. Sermon Focus: Luke 8:18-22 This passage contains profound lessons from Jesus about hearing and obeying God's Word. Here’s a brief breakdown of the verses: Verse 18 : "Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have." Jesus emphasizes the responsibility of hearing and applying His teachings. Those who listen and obey will be blessed with more understanding, while those who neglect it will lose even what they have. Verses 19-21 : "Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press. And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee. And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it." Jesus redefines family as those who hear and obey God’s Word, showing the importance of spiritual kinship over biological ties. Verse 22 : "Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth." This verse sets the stage for the calming of the storm, a testament to faith and trust in Jesus during life’s challenges. Key Points from Pastor Nadeem’s Sermon Hearing and Obeying : Pastor Nadeem highlighted the importance of not just hearing God's Word but also living it out in daily life. True discipleship requires action. Spiritual Family : He emphasized the unity of believers as a family under Christ, bound by obedience to God’s Word. Faith in Action : Drawing from verse 22, Pastor Nadeem encouraged the congregation to trust Jesus fully, even when facing storms in life. Visual Connection Pastor Nadeem shared some beautiful pictures of his congregation at the bottom of the page. These images reflect the vibrancy and dedication of the church community in Gojra City. The congregation’s commitment to worship and fellowship is a testament to their faith and love for God. Related Scriptures for Reflection James 1:22 : "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. " This verse aligns with the theme of hearing and obeying. Matthew 7:24-25 : "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. " Obedience to God’s Word provides a strong foundation for life. Romans 10:17 : "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Faith grows as we hear and internalize God’s Word. Closing Thoughts Pastor Nadeem’s sermon on Luke 8:18-22 serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of actively listening to and living out God’s Word. His ministry in Gojra City continues to inspire and strengthen the faith of his congregation. - Pastor Rizwan of Jehovah Saints Church, Phool Nagar, Punjab, Pakistan
A Message from Pastor Rizwan of Jehovah Saints Church, Phool Nagar, Punjab, Pakistan Sermon Title: "Lending a Helping Hand: A Biblical Perspective" Pastor Rizwan delivered an inspiring message to his congregation, emphasizing the importance of helping others as a core aspect of Christian living. He reminded the church that as followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to demonstrate His love and compassion to those around us. Key Points of the Sermon 1. The Biblical Basis for Helping Others The Bible is filled with teachings and examples that highlight the significance of helping others. Pastor Rizwan shared the following key scriptures: Matthew 25:31-46 : Jesus teaches that helping others is equivalent to serving Him. "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Galatians 6:2 : We are called to bear one another's burdens as a fulfillment of Christ's law. "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Proverbs 19:17 : Helping others is seen as lending to the Lord, and He promises to reward such acts. "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done." Hebrews 13:16 : Encouragement to share and do good as sacrifices pleasing to God. "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." James 2:14-17 : Faith without works is dead; helping others is an expression of true faith. "What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?" 2. Practical Applications: How to Help Others Pastor Rizwan encouraged the congregation to take actionable steps to live out this principle: Volunteer Your Time: Look for opportunities to serve others in your local community, church, or through charitable organizations. "Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people. " (Ephesians 6:7) Be a Good Listener: Offer a listening ear to those in need. Sometimes, your presence and attention can be the greatest gift. "Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry." (James 1:19) Give Generously: Donate to causes, charities, or individuals in need. Remember, no act of giving is too small. "Freely you have received; freely give." (Matthew 10:8) Acts of Service: Help a neighbor with daily tasks, run errands for someone, or offer your skills to benefit others. "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." (1 Peter 4:10) Pray for Others: Lift up those in need through prayer, asking God to intervene and provide for their needs. "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests." (Ephesians 6:18) 3. Call to Action Pastor Rizwan concluded the sermon by encouraging the congregation to actively seek ways to help others, both within the church and in the wider community. He reminded everyone that by serving others, we are living out the gospel and reflecting the love of Christ. Reflection Questions Who in your life can you help today? What are some practical ways you can serve others in your community this week? How can you demonstrate Jesus' love and compassion to someone in need? Closing Scripture "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
