  • The Story of Kevin Onyinge Abuso: A Testimony of Faith and Endurance

The Story of Kevin Onyinge Abuso: A Testimony of Faith and Endurance A Life of Rejection and Pain In 2017, Kevin Onyinge Abuso, now a volunteer of Jehovah Saint's, faced a life-altering moment when his relatives held a meeting at his family home. During this meeting, he and his mother were told that he was born out of wedlock and therefore had no right to inherit any family wealth. They were advised to leave the home and relocate to their "ancestral land." This news shattered their hope and left them in despair. Some people in the meeting yelled in anger, while others were deeply sorrowful. Despite the mixed emotions, Kevin and his mother began their journey away from the home, unsure of where they were heading. Tragically, after three weeks, his mother passed away, leaving Kevin completely confused, hopeless, and heartbroken. A Painful Burial and Further Rejection The local area chief intervened upon hearing about the situation and forced Kevin's family members, who had chased them away, to take responsibility for burying his mother. However, the burial was rushed and lacked a proper program, taking place just three days after her death. Two days after the burial, Kevin was told to leave the home once again. The pain of rejection was unbearable. Friends abandoned him, and no one wanted to associate with him. Feeling utterly alone, Kevin was overwhelmed by frustration and sorrow, leading him to contemplate suicide. Psalm 34:18 – “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Although he considered ending his life, God’s grace intervened. A voice in his heart reminded him not to do so, and he found the strength to carry on. Struggles for Survival At the time, Kevin was still a schoolchild, but the weight of his struggles caused him to become a truant. Each morning, he would wake up early to work in people’s gardens as a laborer, earning a small amount of money to cover basic needs like food. Eventually, the challenges became too overwhelming, and he dropped out of school in Class Six. To survive, Kevin worked as a shepherd, caring for someone else’s cattle. Even then, meals were scarce. At times, he would eat leftovers or go an entire day without food. His health deteriorated, leaving him thin and weak. Matthew 6:26 – “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” With no hope and no direction, Kevin’s life took a turn for the worse, and he ended up living on the streets. He scavenged for food in dustbins, eating banana peels and remnants of discarded meals. His friends and relatives abandoned him entirely, branding him a beggar and treating him with contempt. An Act of Kindness and Another Setback One day, God sent a Good Samaritan who found Kevin sleeping near a dustbin. This kind soul took Kevin to his home and cared for him for two years. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, when food and jobs became scarce, the man could no longer support Kevin. With his own family to care for, he asked Kevin to leave. Early one morning, Kevin was sent away with his belongings packed in a sack. He sat under a tree, tears streaming down his face as he thought of his parents and the life he had lost. Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” A Life of Hardship and Perseverance Kevin managed to rent a small, poorly maintained house to shelter himself. From 2019 to the present day, he has been working in people’s gardens to earn money for rent and basic needs. However, the challenges are immense. At the beginning and end of each month, he faces the pressure of paying his landlord and securing food. Despite the hardships, Kevin continues to endure. His life has been a series of challenges that could bring anyone to tears. Yet, through it all, he has experienced God’s grace and provision, even in the most desperate moments. Romans 5:3-4 – “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” A Message of Hope Kevin’s story is one of pain, rejection, and relentless struggle, but it is also a testimony of God’s faithfulness. Even in the darkest moments, God has provided glimpses of hope and strength to carry on. Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Kevin’s life reminds us that no matter how dire our circumstances may seem, God is always with us. His grace sustains us, and His plans for us are greater than we can imagine. Let Kevin’s story inspire you to trust in God, even when life feels impossible. Through faith, perseverance, and the kindness of others, there is always hope for a brighter tomorrow. Psalm 46:1 – “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Conclusion: Join Us in Bringing Hope to the Homeless At Jehovah Saints, we are committed to being the hands and feet of Christ by providing safe shelters, warm meals, and hope to those in need. • Pastor Amin Gill of Jehovah Saints Church, Punjab, Pakistan, Reports:

Pastor Amin Gill of Jehovah Saints Church, Punjab, Pakistan, Reports: 1. Worship Service Overview On Monday evening, Pastor Amin Gill led a worship service at 371 JB Village  in Punjab, Pakistan. During the service, he shared a message from the Book of Proverbs, Chapter 6, focusing on its wisdom and practical lessons for Christian living. 2. Message Focus: Proverbs Chapter 6 Pastor Amin reflected on the teachings of Proverbs 6 and encouraged his congregation to apply its lessons to their daily lives. Below is a summary of the key themes from this chapter and their relevance: Warnings Against Laziness (The Example of the Ant) Proverbs 6:6−8 – “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.” Pastor Amin taught the congregation to be diligent and proactive, learning from the ant’s example of hard work and preparation. He emphasized that God blesses those who are faithful in their efforts (Colossians3:23−24 Colossians 3:23−24). Avoiding Sinful Behavior Proverbs 6:16−19 – “There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies, and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.” The pastor reminded the congregation to examine their hearts and actions, avoiding behaviors that grieve the Lord. He called for repentance and a commitment to righteousness ( John 1:9). The Danger of Falling into Debt and Foolish Promises Proverbs 6:1−5 – “My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor, if you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger, you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth. So do this, my son, to free yourself...” Pastor Amin highlighted the importance of wisdom in financial decisions and the need to honor commitments. He encouraged the congregation to seek God’s guidance in all areas of life ( Proverbs 3:5−6). The Call to Righteous Living Proverbs 6:20−23 – “My son, keep your father’s command and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. Bind them always on your heart; fasten them around your neck. When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you.” Pastor Amin urged the congregation to treasure God’s Word and allow it to guide their decisions and behavior. He reminded them that God’s commandments are a light to their path ( Psalm 119:105). 3. Application for the Congregation Pastor Amin encouraged the congregation to: Be Diligent: Follow the example of the ant by working hard and preparing for the future (2 Thessalonians 3:10). Avoid Sin: Examine their lives and turn away from behaviors that dishonor God ( Ephesians 4:22−24). Seek Wisdom: Make decisions guided by God’s Word and prayer ( James 1:5). Treasure God’s Commands: Let God’s teachings be the foundation of their lives ( Joshua 1:8). 4. Pastor’s Reflection Pastor Amin shared his gratitude for the opportunity to minister to the people of 371 JB Village. He prayed that the Word of God would take root in their hearts and produce lasting fruit. 5. Closing Prayer “Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Help us to learn from the example of the ant, to avoid sin, and to treasure Your commandments in our hearts. Bless the people of 371 JB Village and guide them in righteousness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” Supporting Scriptures for Reflection The Importance of Wisdom: Proverbs 4:7 – “The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” Diligence in Work: Proverbs14:23 Proverbs 14:23 – “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” Avoiding Sin: Psalm 34:14 – “Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” Living by God’s Word: Matthew 4:4 – “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Conclusion: Join Us in Bringing Hope to the Homeless At Jehovah Saints, we are committed to being the hands and feet of Christ by providing safe shelters, warm meals, and hope to those in need. • Urgent Appeal for Help from Jehovah Saints

Urgent Appeal for Help from Jehovah Saints Dear Friends and Supporters, Jehovah Saints has received no donations in 2025 so far. We truly need your help more than you realize. The Reality of Homelessness Current Situation: There are people sleeping on concrete sidewalks in the cold and others on the ground with no food to eat. Our Mission: We are passionate about building homeless shelters throughout the world and have successfully built five so far. This is a serious matter that needs to be addressed. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps more than you realize. The Need for Compassion Local Impact: How many homeless people do you have in your area? Consider that number multiplied by millions of cities across the United States. Statistics: There are over 650,000 homeless people in the USA and approximately 150 million homeless worldwide, according to the United Nations. Show compassion and love to your neighbor, which is everyone. If your neighbor was sleeping on the ground, would you help them? I would. This is the reason I started the organization to begin with. The Consequences of Inaction If you don’t eat well and sleep on the cold, hard ground, you become ill. Biblical Guidance The Bible teaches us about the importance of helping those in need: Matthew 6:19-21: “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven... For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 25:35-40: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in... The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” If you feel it in your heart to help your neighbor get off that cold, hard ground, then donate today and show God you love Him. Every time you help someone, no matter how small the act, you are helping Jesus and building treasures in heaven. You cannot take your earthly treasures with you. God bless you, and I look forward to your support of our mission to end homelessness worldwide. Sincerely, Michael Hopkins Chief Executive Officer Jehovah Saints International Preachers talk about salvation, yet they don't talk about saving the homeless, the poor and needy. • Jehovah Saints Sunday Service, Malawi

Report by Pastor Victor K Phiri of Jehovah Saints Church Malawi Sunday Service: Marvelous Wonderful Grace Scripture Reference: Titus 2:11-15 Verse 11: “God’s marvelous grace has manifested in person, bringing salvation for everyone.” Explanation: This verse emphasizes that God's grace is not just an abstract concept but has been revealed through Jesus Christ, offering salvation to all humanity. It highlights the inclusivity of God's saving grace. Verse 12: “This same grace teaches us how to live each day as we turn our backs on ungodliness and indulgent lifestyles, and it equips us to live self-controlled, upright, godly lives in this present age.” Explanation: Grace is portrayed as a teacher that guides believers away from sin and towards a life of righteousness. It empowers us to resist temptation and live in a way that honors God. Verse 13: “For we continue to wait for the fulfillment of our hope in the dawning splendor of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus, the Anointed One.” Explanation: This verse encourages believers to maintain hope and anticipation for Christ’s return, reminding us that our present struggles are temporary compared to the glory that awaits us. Verse 14: “He sacrificed himself for us that he might purchase our freedom from every lawless deed and to purify for himself a people who are his very own, passionate to do what is beautiful in his eyes.” Explanation: Jesus’ sacrifice is highlighted as the means of our redemption. It calls us to be a distinct people, committed to living in a way that pleases God, reflecting His beauty in our actions. Verse 15: “So preach these truths and exhort others to follow them. Be willing to expose sin in order to bring correction with full authority, without being intimidated by anyone.” Explanation: Paul instructs Titus to boldly proclaim the truth of the Gospel, including the necessity of confronting sin. This emphasizes the role of church leaders in guiding their congregations towards holiness. Main Message Focus on God’s Grace: Pastor Victor emphasized that God’s grace should not be misconstrued as a license to sin. Instead, it should motivate us to live holy lives. Many believe they can sin willfully because of God's forgiveness, but this mindset is deceptive. Living a Life Pleasing to God: The grace of God should lead us away from ungodliness and indulgent lifestyles. When we sin, we should feel unworthy and driven to seek forgiveness, striving to be different from the world. Self-Control and Witness: As believers, we must exercise self-control and be mindful of our actions, knowing that the world is watching. Our lives should reflect Christ’s teachings, and we must be above reproach. The Church’s Mission: While awaiting Jesus’ return, the church must focus on making disciples and stop internal conflicts. Jesus has purchased our freedom from sin, and we are called to prepare for His return. Preaching the Truth: Pastor Victor urged leaders to preach the Word boldly, rather than seeking to please people. He warned against the dangers of ignoring sin within the church, citing the example of Eli and his sons. Correction and Accountability: It is vital for church leaders to address sin, both in themselves and in their congregations. Believers should lovingly correct their leaders if they are living in sin, fostering a culture of accountability. Worship and Focus on Jesus: Ultimately, the focus of the church should be on Jesus. He deserves all our worship and praise, and we must lift Him up above all else. Pastor Victor concluded with a call to action for the church to embrace the grace of God, live righteously, and fulfill the Great Commission. He encouraged everyone to worship Jesus wholeheartedly, recognizing Him as the source of our salvation and strength. Closing Prayer A prayer for strength, guidance, and a renewed commitment to live in accordance with God's grace and truth. Hallelujah to the Lamb!
