Jesus Loved First: The Cross Before the Call

1 John chapter 4: verse 19 (KJV)

"We love him, because he first loved us."

John chapter 15: verse 13 (KJV)

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

Romans chapter 5: verse 8 (KJV)

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." ✝️❤️🙏

Before humanity ever sought God, God was already reaching for humanity. Before a prayer was spoken, before a tear was shed, before a sinner repented, the love of Christ was already moving toward the cross.

Jesus did not wait for people to become righteous before loving them. He loved the unworthy, the broken, the wandering, and the lost. His love was not proven by words alone, but by nail-scarred hands stretched wide upon a rugged cross.

The greatest demonstration of love in all history was not found in a palace, a battlefield, or a monument. It was found on Calvary, where the Son of God willingly laid down His life for those who could never repay Him. Every drop of blood testified that God's love is greater than our failures, stronger than our sin, and deeper than our understanding.

Because Christ first loved us, we can love Him. Because Christ died for us, we can live for Him. Because Christ laid down His life, we have the promise of eternal life through faith in His name.

The cross is Heaven's declaration that you are loved beyond measure, sought beyond reason, and welcomed by grace.
