🕊️ The "Forgive & Forget" Policy: Heaven’s Standard

We’ve all heard the phrase "Forgive and Forget," but let’s be real—forgetting is hard, and forgiving is even harder. However, for a follower of Christ, grace isn't just a suggestion; it’s our policy. 📜✨

📖 The Foundation

Ephesians 4:32 (EHV):

"Instead, be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ has forgiven us."

💡 What This Actually Means

This verse isn't asking us to pretend the hurt never happened. It’s asking us to change our posture.

  • Kindness & Compassion: These are the "active" ingredients. It’s hard to hold a grudge when you’re looking at someone through the lens of empathy.

  • The Standard: We don’t forgive because the other person deserves it; we forgive because we’ve already been forgiven for so much more. God cleared our debt through Christ, so we don't have the right to hold others hostage to theirs. 💸❌

🛠️ More Wisdom for the Journey

  • Colossians 3:13: "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."

  • Matthew 6:14: "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."

  • Psalm 103:12: "As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." (That’s the ultimate "forget" policy! 🌅)

✨ The Takeaway

Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the handcuffs of bitterness. Today, choose to let go of the "receipts" you’ve been holding onto. Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart instead of the weight of the past. 🗝️❤️

John 14:6

Evangelical Heritage Version

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father, 'except through me' (Jesus)."

This is why we end our prayer "In 'Jesus'Name' I pray amen!"

📜 The Prayer

“I pray for Jehovah to speak through me all the time,

and I pray for Jehovah to remove all my thoughts

and give me your thoughts Father all the time,

as I do not even want my thoughts.”

In Jesus Name I pray amen!
