Marriage is more than a legal contract; it is a divine partnership designed to operate under the authority of Heaven. When a husband and wife walk in true unity, they unlock a spiritual synergy that changes the atmosphere of their home and their future.


📖 Breaking Down the Word

  • Matthew 18:19 (KJV): "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." The Greek word for "agree" is sumphoneo, from which we get the word symphony. It means to be in perfect harmony. When you and your spouse align your hearts and prayers, you aren't just making a request—you are creating a "symphony" that moves the heart of God.

  • Matthew 16:19 & 18:18 (EHV): "Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." As a couple, you have been given the Keys of the Kingdom. Binding and loosing are legal terms. You have the authority to "bind" (forbid/stop) strife and lack in your home, and "loose" (allow/release) peace, healing, and provision. Heaven backs the decrees made in unity on Earth!


🛡️ Strengthening the Foundation

To walk in this power, we must also look at how we treat one another:

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (KJV) "And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken."

When you put God at the center, your marriage becomes that "threefold cord." You aren't just fighting for each other; you are fighting together from a position of victory.

Amos 3:3 (KJV) "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

Agreement is the prerequisite for progress. When you settle the small disagreements and find common ground in the Word, you clear the way for God’s power to flow without hindrance.
