Be Strong and Courageous: Finding Strength in God’s Constant Presence

At Jehovah Saints Incorporation, our mission is grounded in unwavering faith, courageous action, and the enduring promise of God’s presence. When life calls us into new seasons, uncharted territories, or daunting challenges, Scripture stands as our steadfast anchor.

Understanding the Scripture

Joshua 1:9

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Spoken to Joshua as he assumed leadership of Israel to enter the Promised Land, this divine charge provides four foundational pillars for navigating any obstacle:

  • A Divine Command ("Be strong and courageous"): Courage is not merely a personality trait; it is a spiritual posture rooted in obedience and faith in God's promises.

  • Refusing Fear ("Do not be afraid"): Fear often arises when we look at the size of our challenges rather than the greatness of God. We are called to shift our focus back to Him.

  • Overcoming Despair ("Do not be discouraged"): Discouragement aims to paralyze our momentum, but recognizing God's authority over our circumstances empowers us to endure.

  • An Ever-Present Companion ("...for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go"): You never walk alone. God's presence accompanies you step-by-step through every journey, trial, and victory.

Additional Scriptures to Build Your Faith

To deepen your walk and remind you of His continuous presence, reflect on these encouraging passages:

  • Deuteronomy 31:8 — "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

  • Isaiah 41:10 — "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

  • Psalm 23:4 — "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

  • Psalm 46:1 — "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."

Moving Forward in His Courage

When we anchor our hearts in God's promises, we are empowered to step into the unknown with confidence and extend hope to those around us.

"United by faith, we stand ready to achieve remarkable things and bring joy and hope to those we serve."

John 14:6 (KJV)

Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (Jesus)."

📜 The Prayer

“I pray for Jehovah to speak through me all the time,

and I pray for Jehovah to remove all my thoughts

and give me your thoughts all the time,

as I do not even want my thoughts.”

In Jesus Name I pray amen!
