"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
— Lamentations 3:22–23
📖 What This Verse Means
When Jeremiah wrote Lamentations, Jerusalem was destroyed, and the people of Israel were in deep sorrow. Yet, right in the middle of a book filled with grief, Jeremiah utters these famous words of hope.
"Steadfast love" (Hesed): God’s love isn’t based on shifting circumstances or our daily performance; it is anchored in His unchanging covenant and character.
"Never come to an end": No matter how difficult yesterday was or how many mistakes we made, God’s grace and mercy are infinite.
"New every morning": Each sunrise acts as a reset button. God provides a fresh supply of mercy specifically tailored for whatever challenges today holds.
No matter what season of life you are currently navigating, God's devotion to you remains unwavering.
