God Is Our Refuge: Finding Strength in Times of Trouble

At Jehovah Saints, our mission is driven by faith, compassionate action, and the unwavering promise that God is actively present in our darkest hours. As we work together across the globe to shelter the vulnerable and extend hope to those in need, scripture serves as our anchor.

Understanding the Scriptures

Psalm 46:1

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."

This powerful verse offers three core promises for every believer and every season of life:

  • Our Refuge: A refuge is a safe tower—a place of defense and protection from life's tempests. When challenges, poverty, or uncertainty press in on every side, God Himself becomes our safe harbor.

  • Our Strength: We do not have to rely on our own limited power. When our endurance runs low, His divine strength step in, empowering us to endure and serve others sacrificially.

  • An Ever-Present Help: God is not distant or unconcerned. He is actively present right now, in the midst of every struggle, ready to deliver, sustain, and guide us through every trial.

Additional Scriptures to Inspire Your Trust

To deepen your walk and remind you of His faithful presence, reflect on these encouraging words:

  • Psalm 91:1–2 — "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'"

  • Proverbs 18:10 — "The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe."

  • Isaiah 41:10 — "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

  • 2 Corinthians 12:9 — "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'"

Standing Together in His Strength

When we anchor our hearts in God’s presence, we are empowered to become a refuge for others. Through hands-on outreach, shelter initiatives, and community care, we reflect His shelter to a hurting world.

"United by faith, we stand ready to achieve remarkable things and bring joy and hope to those we serve."

John 14:6 (KJV)

Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (Jesus)."

📜 The Prayer

“I pray for Jehovah to speak through me all the time,

and I pray for Jehovah to remove all my thoughts

and give me your thoughts all the time,

as I do not even want my thoughts.”

In Jesus Name I pray amen!
