Reviving the Lowly: The High and Holy God Who Dwells With Us

At Jehovah Saints Incorporation, our mission is driven by faith, compassionate action, and the unwavering conviction that God’s grace, presence, and restoration are available to all who draw near to Him in humility. As we work together across the globe to shelter the vulnerable, build communities, and extend hope to those in need, Scripture serves as our enduring anchor.

Understanding the Scripture

Isaiah 57:15

"For thus says the One who is high and lifted up who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: 'I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.'"

Spoken through the prophet Isaiah, this magnificent verse reveals a profound contrast that lies at the very heart of the Gospel—the awe-inspiring majesty of God alongside His intimate, compassionate closeness to the brokenhearted:

  • The Transcendent and Sovereign God ("High and lifted up who inhabits eternity"): God exists beyond the constraints of human time and space. He is completely holy, supreme, and self-existent, sitting enthroned above all creation in glory and power.

  • The Condescending Grace of God ("And also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit"): Though God inhabits eternity and dwells in the highest place, He does not remain distant or unapproachable. He chooses to make His personal dwelling with those who possess a humble, broken, and contrite heart—those who recognize their need for His mercy and grace.

  • Divine Revival and Restoration ("To revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite"): God's presence brings active spiritual renewal. When life leaves us weary, crushed, or burdened, coming before Him with genuine humility allows His Spirit to breathe new life, strength, and joy back into our souls.

Additional Scriptures to Inspire Your Walk

To deepen your understanding of humility, God's dwelling place, and His promise of spiritual revival, reflect on these encouraging passages:

  • Psalm 34:18 — "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

  • Psalm 51:17 — "My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."

  • James 4:10 — "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up."

  • Isaiah 66:2 — "Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord. “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word."

  • 1 Peter 5:6–7 — "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Standing Together in His Strength

When we anchor our hearts in God’s presence and walk in humble obedience, we are empowered to serve as instruments of His healing, refuge, and transforming love for others in need. Through our hands-on outreach, shelter initiatives, and community care, we strive to reflect His mercy and lift up the brokenhearted in a hurting world.

"United by faith, we stand ready to achieve remarkable things and bring joy and hope to those we serve."

John 14:6 (KJV)

Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (Jesus)."

📜 The Prayer

“I pray for Jehovah to speak through me all the time,

and I pray for Jehovah to remove all my thoughts

and give me your thoughts all the time,

as I do not even want my thoughts.”

In Jesus Name I pray amen!
